It was a big 2011 for Netflix–a lot has been happening in the DVD, movie, and video world, but Netflix has been especially busy. Here’s a quick rundown of what Netflix has been up to–most importantly, we want to hear what you think!
- Netflix (NFLX) stock was up a nearly a whopping 50% as the year began. Despite some naysayers, Netflix was signing up customers like crazy and Wall Street listened.
- A bunch of licensing deals for content were announced with Miramax and CBS.
- Netflix increased their prices and attempted to separate their DVD and streaming business.
- Quickster was announced and abruptly killed
- The company reduced financial guidance and said it would lose money in 2012.
- The stock dropped from over $300 to about $70.
Well what do you think of Netflix not that the dust has finally settled?

Since netflix separated it’s streaming from delivered videos I chose to use the streaming video’s only for 8.60$ a month. Suddenly I have found that almost all movies after 2000′ are only available on thier DVD delivered plan/ which means they are going to get the 16.80$ one way or the other.Except in my case the are soon to get no subscription! there are other services available.
NO!! My children were born in 1985 and 1987 and I can’t watch a movie from then. If you like B movies this is the place to be.

When I first joined Netflix, it was all that it claimed to be. However, in spite of its claims of growing by leaps and bounds, its service began suffering the day they raised their fees. I am so sorry I recommended Netflix to all my friends, but I have no alternative to staying with it, as I am almost completely bedridden and live on SS. mea
Your sigh-up page will not except the number on the back
of my card. I looked it up again and it is still (150). Now I can not get on the site

NO
I do not understand how you determine which dvd are streamed or not.. some of the older movies should be available. Consider cost of mail vs. stream…
I was happy with netflix when Disks were sent via mail,I am unhappy with the streaming, very limited offerings ,older movies, I cancelled my account because of it, Yet they still charge me $4.95 a month for disks that I am unable to order. What kind of “Progress” is this
netflix blows! every movie i would like to stream, old and new, are not available.
I love netflix–it totally works for me–selection and receiving them in the mail.
Great service, selection, and the whole compasny is a great idea.
