If you haven’t heard yet, last week Netflix announced they would exorbitantly raise the price of their service. Say goodbye to the $9.99 monthly unlimited DVDs and unlimited streaming plans, and say hello to an additional charge of $96 per year if you keep the same level of service.
You got it right–Netflix is nearly doubling their prices without any additional value offered. Annoyed with this Netflix price increase? We are too–let us know what you think below and we’ll forward your comments on to Reed Hastings, CEO of Netflix.
I wonder why more of the movies are not friendly to those of us who have a hard time hearing.
I like netflix a lot but also wonder why they, (compared to block buster) they do not have more titles.
I will not be leaving netflix unless there are more price hikes without some kind of benefit for doing the hike.
I think that now is NOT the time to be raising ANYTHING. We joined netflix to save money not to be taken advantage of. You folks are in serioous danger of losing a lot of business. Ignore your customers and you will soon see what I’m talking about. NO NEED TO BE EXCESSIVELY GREEDY.
I usually ask for NETFLIX from my grand daughter who lives in Calf. for Christmas. It is easier for her to send than shopping for gifys and then mailing them. I will not do this from now on as I cn find the same movies at our local library. A little raise in price is expected but yours is down right greedy.
all I want is an occasional movie…nothing fancy or complicated…just an occasional movie AND I don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for the service. I pay enough as it is, because we don’t really watch all that many films in a month’s time. If price continues to go up, I’ll drop the service

I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO THE INDIVIDUAL, WHO HAD THE BALLS TO SUGGEST THIS TYPE OF MARKETING TO HIS OR HER BOARD OF DIRECTORS, OR TO THE PERSON IN WICH MAY SOLEY DIRECT THE COMPANYS INTRESTS & SUBSCRIBER REACTION
THE ABILITIES TO PROJECT COMPANY PROFITS BASED ON THE NO.# OF CURRENT SUBSCRIBERS THAT WILL PAY AT LEAST ONE MAYBE TWO MONTHS OF THE INFLATED COST BEFORE EVEN REALIZING THE INCREASE .
PROFITS FROM THOSE ACCOUNTS AT ???????
NO.# OF SUBSCRIBERS CANCELING BY SAY THAT SECOND MONTH SINCE THE INCREASE (% OF) &
THE No.# OF NEW SUBSCRIBERS UNAWARE OF THE INCREASE, OR COULD CARE LESS, THAT WILL SUBSCRIBE.
UNLESS YOU’VE LOST MORE THAN 1/2 YOUR CASH FLOW OF SUBCRIBERS. THE COMPANY WILL STILL DO WELL.
IN ADDITION TO THE LARGE INFLUX OF CASH, ACCUMULATED IN THOSE FIRST TWO MONTHS AFTER THE INITIAL INCREASE.
MUST BE EXCITING FOR THOSE AT THE TOP TO WATCH THESE MOVES UNFOLD.
