The Netflix Terms of Service stipulate that, “BY SHARING THE NETFLIX SERVICE PASSWORD, THE ACCOUNT OWNER AGREES TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSURING THAT HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS COMPLY WITH THE TERMS OF USE AND SUCH ACCOUNT OWNER SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF THE HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS.” According to the TOS, it appears that sharing your Netflix login is fine, provided that it is with family members. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings was quoted, “We are now primarily a streaming video company delivering a wide selection of TV shows and films over the Internet.” Hoooraay! Netflix is the web’s primary source of legal streaming content. Over half of Netflix customers and revenues are associated with Netflix streaming service.
